Part3. Montag to Faber

Dear Faber,

I hope that you are still well and still have your house. After the chase I escaped to the river then I found the hobos on the railroad track. Did you see the man they claimed to be me, and then they killed him? I could barely believe my eyes. Anyways, me and the hobos are now waiting for the war to end. When the war does end, we hope to be able to move back in and start the old world all over again. If we introduce books as brand new things that aren't evil and can bring great pleasure, we are sure we can start a revolution to a new and improved world. Each of us has one book memorized that we will end up writing down at a later time. These men are all very intellectual like you said. They also took me in instantly after seeing the chase, so they knew that I must of done something very drastic to earn this big of a chase. Anyways, I hope that you stay safe until our next meeting.

Part3. Granger to Montag

Dear Montag

I hope you have enjoyed being free from the book hating world you used to live in. You must have realized by now that the world of the "hobos" is much easier and free-er. We all share the same goal, to re-unite people with books again. We need to wait for our moment to strike. When we do find our moment, we will know what to do. We have each memorized a single book. If we slowly start to find any books that remain after the war, and with the knowledge of them in our head, we should be able to recreate the world as it once was. We were all people who have no use in the real world anymore, so if we stay out here where there are no book laws and wait for our chance to strike, I think we be successful. You must of done something seriously drastic because they started that whole big chase after you, so we can assume that you are trustworthy and will be a willing combatant in our fight. Hope you join us in our dream.

Part2. Montag to Mildred

Dear Mildred,

I hope that you are feeling ok, along with your relatives on the walls. I feel like I am changing, and I am scared whether I like it or not. I think I may quit my job as a Fireman. I mean, is what we are doing really right? I don't understand why we are burning books without a proper explanation. For all we know, the reason they give us could be a complete lie, and the books are actually so amazing that they are jealous and decided to outlaw them. Who knows!? I feel like a part of me inside wants to keep living my ordinary life with you and the Fire Hall. Yet, another part of me wants to leave this and try to start a rebellion for the books. I know you would be horrified of this idea, so now I really don't know who to trust. I feel like we don't share a connection anymore. All you seem to do is sit in the living room and yell with you relatives and walls. I am always second to these. That makes me think, if we each slowed our lives down and took our time with activities instead of always rushing through everything just to sit down to the walls again, would that be better or worse? It would give us time to think and discuss things like what's happening in the world or how we are feeling that day. I am just really confused at the moment and I hope that you will support me throughout whatever decision I make.

Love, Montag

Part2. Faber to Montag

Dear Montag,

My dear friend Montag. I hope you are doing alright at this point in time. It is something more serious that I wish to write to you about though. You see, I wish to explain to you the importance behind books. I know they are forbidden and a man will get his house and all of his possessions burned for even having one. It is here that you must be wondering that there must be something amazing in them for people to take this risk just to keep them in their house. Well, what is in them is very difficult to explain, almost impossible. It is a feeling of any emotion you wish happiness, love, sadness or even anger. They are all scripted neatly and carefully onto some pieces of paper that are bound together to form a book. Behind each one of these books, is a man or woman who spent hours on hours thinking and pouring their heart out into their book. Now, when we read it, it's like we are absorbing part of them. We get to see inside of someone's mind. By reading these, we keep the brain healthy. You get to gain a vast variety of knowledge that the people of today seem to never know existed, or if they see someone who has it, they think they are crazy and stupid. Like I said, it is extremely hard to explain, but I hope that after you read this, you will have fully made up your mind to fight for our books.

Part1. Beatty to Montag

i Dear Montag,

I hope you are feeling better after my last visit. I understand what you are going through right now. I think every fireman goes through this period in his career where you start questioning and your curiosity becomes the better of you. I remember when it happened to me, so that is why I am writing to you today. First off, you must understand that what we are doing, as firemen, is absolutely crucial to our society's survival. If we weren't here, and people were free to read books, the whole world would be in a greater depression than ever seen before. You may be thinking if firemen always burnt down houses, even back when they weren't fireproof. The answer is no. A time go, people possessed much more knowledge and wisdom than the people of today. They had books and schools that actually taught something. This was before the digital age dawned upon us. Ever since then, this knowledge that used to be so common, was only possessed by a few. It was these few that caused jealousy and hate to the average citizen. These books fueled their knowledge and also filled the rest with great emotion. It wasn't before long that if we just got rid of books all together, everyone would eventually merge into one average class. This is why we do what we do. We do this to keep the odd ones who want to cause pain and jealousy to the rest of the population under control. This is why we need you Montag. You, my dear friend, are a hero.

Hope to see you soon,
Beatty

Part1. Clarisse to Montag

Dear Montag,

You may have been wondering where I have gone. Please don't worry, because I am perfectly safe at the moment. You, on the other hand, are still in danger from the very world around you. I have realized that staying at home and trying to survive was a waste of time and that if I were to truly live and see the wonders of the world, I would have to do something drastic. So this is why I am begging you to come with me and get yourself out of this fake, book burning world that you are trapped in. I know that you aren't happy, and so do you. Out here you can speak of what you want, and see things you have haven't seen since you were almost too young to remember. The forests, birds, animals and wide open space with no sounds but the soothing sound of nature. I am staying with a group of outcasts who used to all be professors or librarians and have amazing stories that they can read off by memory. So again, I urge you with all of my will that you prealize that freedom is within your grasps, you just have to get  south of the city and follow the river until you hit the railroad tracks. I hope to see you sometime soon.

    From, Clarisse.

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

I think I have finally found the true love of my life.I snuck over the wall late tonight after the party and hid among the trees while I watch the beautiful Juliet speak to herself. After observing for many minutes, I couldn't control myself and burst out exclaiming my love for her. It was at that moment when I knew that things would never be the same. The next part I can only remember being blind with love. I remember touching her skin and tasting her sweet lips. All of a sudden we heard her nurse shout for her so she quickly ran back inside. Words could not describe how happy I was feeling at that moment! I didn't have a care in the world! When she came back outside I tried to seduce her with my sauciness. It didn't work, but do you know what happened? You wouldn't believe it! She agreed to marry me! I have to get this organized as soon as possible and hopefully the parents let us. Well, I better go prepare my self to spread the news.

From,

 Romeo
